It is as in cinema Ice Age was a great success. So they made Ice Age 2
Also Magic Flute: The same librettist Emanuel Schikaneder wrote a continuation story including the initiation of "earth" and "air" after "fire" and "water" in MF1.
Mozart had died in 1791, so Peter von Winter composed the music for the first
performance in ca. 1798.
And it was a success, too! It was played about 77 times in Vienna, then in some
German theaters, then the material got lost.
After the fall of the Berlin wall the material re-appeared and Manfred App, whom
you find on the sponsor list to cover the theatre rent,
made the material available, see:
Magic Flute 2: www.papageno-music.com

Manfred App is the man behind this material:
He and we are most interested to get a musical and historical sensation in
the second project:
Re-produce MF1 as done in 2010 and make a new production with MF2. Perform BOTH
in a double project!!!!!!!
A time table for the performances could be:
| Tag / day time | Donnerstag / Thursday | Freitag / Friday | Samstag / Saturday | Sonntag / Sunday |
| vormittag | Endproben Z2 / final rehearsals MF2 | |||
| nachmittag 16.00 | Endproben Z2 / final rehearsals MF2 | GP Z2 / General Rehearsal MF2 | 2. Z1 /second performance MF1 | 2. Z2 / second MF2 |
| abend 20.00 | GP Z1 / General Rehearsal MF1 | Pr Z1 / Premiere MF1 | Pr Z2 / premiere MF2 | Abreise |
Probably we would change our time management and make a big and intensive two weeks session for the entire double production.
As you can easily understand we may target to have a double orchestra and
double choir and double staff of all (or most) functions to cope with such a
huge challenge.
This is the reason why we might have some more people in MF1 to cover each
other. Later we will need only a few more people which will be easier to find.
